Elyse Landsberry

Writer, Director, Editor, Animator, Executive Producer

At just 24 years of age, Elyse had written, directed, edited and executive produced her first full-length feature film, Black Prince, featuring Australian screen legend, Jack Thompson. A stunning debut by a young, female Australian filmmaker, Black Prince explores the abuse of the land and the abuse of women. A graduate of Australia’s premier filmmaking school, AFTRS, Elyse made her writing/directing debut in 2022 with “Drawing the Line” (SBS), galvanizing her desire to focus on stories relating to the marginalized, the voiceless and to women. Also in 2022, Elyse worked on two First Nations documentaries as an animator: “Larapinta” (SBS) and “To Be Silent” (Sydney Film Festival.) This same year, Elyse worked as a VFX Production Coordinator/Assistant on “Class of ‘07” (Amazon Prime), “La Brea” (Matchbox), “Shantaram” (Apple +) and Saint X (Disney+).

Just prior to graduation, Elyse attended a Netflix Writer’s Room with screenwriting and producing mentor, Vanessa Alexander (The Great, Vikings Valhalla.) In 2023, Elyse won Best International Film at the Womens’ Comedy Film Festival, Atlanta, with her short “Miss Trial”. A highly versatile new talent, Elyse creates content across all genres for both film and television.
